I’ve been stalling for a week while I try to write the next blog post. We all do that, right? We have a big project that we daydream about, that we can’t wait to sink our teeth into, that we obsess over. And we do The Thing, whatever that is.
And then, we lose steam. We lose our drive. In our productivity-obsessed culture, losing steam can make us feel like we’re losing. Like we’re failing. But what if, by not doing-doing-doing, we’re incubating our next step? Our next idea? What if we’re just giving ourselves a break?
Need a sign that it’s okay not to have it all figured out? Not to have your next steps all figured out? This is it. Take a breath. Take a break. We’re all going to get where we’re going. You’re doing just fine.
This is the part of the post where I’d normally plug what I do and let you know you can hit me up. But you know what? It’s okay not to worry about what you’re working on right this minute. When you’re ready, I’ll be here.
Are you guys feeling this way, too? What are some ways you cope when you feel like you’ve hit a wall? Let me know below!
