If you haven't figured it out yet, I love to read. Getting a library card was one of the highlights of my childhood. I used to spend a lot of summer afternoons there, browsing the stacks. I spent my birthday and Christmas money at the bookstore. I was an English major and now I work in a library. Certified bibliophile.
I like to use Goodreads to keep track of what I want to read and have read. I really like their yearly Reading Challenges. You get to set a goal for yourself of how many books you'd like to read in a given year. The last couple of years I've surpassed my goal by 20-30 titles which is exciting! This year, I decided to go for 60 titles which is a little over a book per week. (Some adventurous souls have pledged 100+. Even for me, that's phew!)
We have just passed the halfway point in the year and I'm 31 titles down! Yay! I shared earlier this year how I was in a reading slump. I would log into my Goodreads and see a little disheartening message that I was 2 books behind schedule. But we're back in the clear now!
Some of my favorite titles so far this year have been:
Daisy Jones & the Six, Taylor Jenkins Reid
You'd Be Mine, Erin Hahn
The Time of My Life, Cecilia Ahern
Red, White & Royal Blue, Casey McQuiston
Darkness on the Edge of Town (Stranger Things #2), Adam Christopher
Meet Cute, Helena Hunting
What are your faves so far this year? Do you set a reading challenge for yourself? How's it going?
